Who We Are
This website and our online data room are operated by Satelyx Holdings Limited (“SATELYX”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17276689), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use our contact form or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:
- Name - to address you in communications
- Email address - to respond to your inquiry or send updates
- Company name - to understand your organisation
- Message content - to address your specific inquiry
Data Room and Confidentiality Undertaking
If you are granted access to our online data room, you are asked to accept a confidentiality undertaking before any documents load. When you accept, we record and keep:
- your email address,
- the date and time of acceptance,
- your IP address and browser information, and
- the version of the undertaking you agreed to.
We keep this acceptance record as evidence that you agreed to the confidentiality terms, and to help protect the confidential materials in the room. Unlike our general server logs, this record is kept on purpose and is not deleted on a rolling basis (see Data Retention below). The data room uses only the cookies or storage strictly necessary to give you access and record your acceptance.
Form Processing
Our contact and newsletter forms are processed through Web3Forms, a third-party form handling service based in the United States. When you submit a form, your data is transmitted to Web3Forms for delivery to our team, and Web3Forms’ own privacy policy applies to their processing of it. See International Transfers below.
Automatically Collected Information
Our website does not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or advertising pixels. We do not track your browsing behaviour across our site.
Standard web server logs may record:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages requested
- Date and time of access
These general logs are used only for security monitoring and are deleted on a rolling basis. This is separate from the data room acceptance record described above, which we retain.
How We Use Your Information and Our Lawful Basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. Ours are:
- Responding to your inquiries and evaluating potential partnerships or investment - our legitimate interest in running and growing our business, and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
- Sending newsletter updates - your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Recording data room acceptances and keeping security logs - our legitimate interest in protecting our confidential information, keeping our systems secure, and being able to evidence the agreements people enter into with us.
- Meeting legal obligations - where the law requires us to process or keep certain information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information with:
- Web3Forms - for form submission processing
- Service providers - who help us operate our website and data room, under confidentiality obligations and only as needed
- Legal or regulatory authorities - when required by law or to protect our rights
International Transfers
Some of our service providers, including Web3Forms, are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred to and processed outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the provider’s own data protection commitments and transfers made over encrypted connections.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here:
- Contact and newsletter data - for as long as we are in contact with you or you remain subscribed, and handled by Web3Forms for a limited period before automatic deletion under their policy.
- Data room acceptance records - for the duration of the confidentiality undertaking (two years from acceptance) and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can evidence the agreement and meet our legal obligations.
- General server logs - deleted on a rolling basis.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you,
- ask us to correct inaccurate information,
- ask us to delete your information,
- object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing,
- ask for a copy of your information in a portable format, and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (such as the newsletter).
To exercise any of these, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
